Hell and Back,” a new feature film by producer Corey Campodonico, came out today Friday, October 2, 2015.

“Hell and Back” is a stop motion film that would make Gumby and Pokey blush or run in terror. It promises to set a new standard in adult animation that will leave “Robot Chicken” and others in a putty purgatory. (more…)

It’s true!

One of my dreams growing up was to make movie props, specifically for science fiction movies. I always wanted to do detail work on large space ships. But, as I grew up and CGI took over conventional model making for movies, I thought I would never get my chance. (more…)

Any child who grew up in the 80’s, as I did, remembers Jem and the Holograms. Some say it was meant for the girl audience, but, with action, science fiction, and a pretty decent plot, it encompassed a wide audience for its time. It was produced by the same studios that did G. I. Joe as well as the Gen 1 Transformers. I wouldn’t have called myself a fan, but I watched it when it was on, and enjoyed it as the young geekling I was. (more…)

godzilla-poster

When I first saw the teaser trailer for the new 2014 Godzilla, I will admit I automatically had very little hope for it. It looked like they made Godzilla too tall, what little CGI they showed in the teaser looked unfinished, and I couldn’t understand why they were making yet another American Godzilla film when the 1998 “Godzilla” bombed so badly! The more trailers that were released, the lower my expectation of the movie got. I didn’t like how they made Godzilla look, his enemy didn’t look right and in one small snip looked like Mothera doing a nose dive, and it looked like they replaced Mathew Broderick with Bryan Cranston as the main protagonist. This was looking like it was going to fail. As a life long guy in a rubber suit Godzilla fan, I am here to tell you right now, I am most definitely eating not just a slice, but the whole humble pie because the 2014 Godzilla was pretty sweet!

Be warned, spoilers are bound to happen. So, if you haven’t seen it yet, you might want to come back when you do. (more…)
