One of the things I love about having a booth at a convention is getting to talk to the con-goers and other people who are there promoting their stuff. And if it’s a convention where I know people and other creators, that makes it all the more better!

While at Derby City Comic Con 2015, we had the opportunity to meet new people and make new friendships! And we are going to share our interviews with YOU!

First up, we speak with con goer Kiva (sorry if I spelled that wrong), and we asked her “The Question!”

Next, we have professional cosplayer and internationally famed Santana Cosplay! She was in the booth across from us! Check out her photos at her professional facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SantanaCosplay

Next, we have Larry from Spell Forge Games promoting his Co-op fantasy deck building game “Foe Hunter!” He was our booth neighbor and is genuinely an awesome guy! Check out his site at www.spellforgegames.com and please donate to his KickStarter and help get Foe Hunter made at Foe Hunter KickStarter!

Returning for a second tine, we have the famed Eric Adams! Creator of Lackluster World as well as the ONLY Amishpunk comic book in the world “RUMSPRINGA!” We congratulate him on his successful KickStarter and to see how his post-KickStarter life has been!

And last, but certainly not least, we have the man with the MOST KICK ASS COSPLAY EVER, Richard! I’m not going to spoil his costume for you, but, it is AMAZING!

Thanks to everyone who came out to Derby City Comic Con 2015 to say hi, and welcome to our newest listeners/readers/fans!

Listen below and enjoy!

At conventions, you meet a lot of people when you have a booth. Some of them take a business card, and some are interested in what you do and have to say. Few of them talk to you more than 5 minutes or so…

And once in a great while, we get them on the podcast!

And then there is the Not-So Silent shyguy!

Shyguy (as he has requested to be called) intrigued me so much, that I had to interview him for the show! He has a plan of doing a YouTube series where he reviews comic books, but with a twist! He will review titles that sound interesting but fal flat, and titles that sound boring but are actually very good, but, dressed as a shyguy!

And, he might even join our site as a video comic reviewer!

We talk about comics, video games and a lot of other stuff! He is a pretty cool guy! A cool shyguy if you will!

Listen below and enjoy!

I can adequately describe this episode in two words…

Mel Novak!

That’s right! Today, we have Mr. Mel Novak on the podcast! You will recognize him playing villains in movies like his character Blue Eyes in “Black Belt Jones” with Jim Kelly and Stick in the movie “Game of Death” with Bruce Lee among many others!

A word of warning about the audio… in the middle of recording, a wrestling match started up, and in a few spots it becomes difficult to hear what is being said.

Mel was an absolutely amazing guy to have on the podcast! I really want to get him back on sometime because their are more questions I would have liked to ask that, at the time, I didn’t think to ask. And Mrs. Uncommon Geek gave him a cupcake!

Mel also has a Ministry where he goes to prisons and preaches to inmates on Skid Row. You can find out more about him and his Ministry at his web site at http://melnovak.com/new/

I wanted something special for today’s episode, so I used the music from Episode 10. “Stormsong” by Vince Kaichan which is released under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. Greetings, interwebz!

We continue our interviews from Epic Con today with part two! And, as I’m sure you’ve discovered, we are doing a weekly release for all of these! That’s because they are just too awesome to wait for!

We start off with John and Bea from World Paranormal Investigations going over their report from the investigation from Episode 27 of the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. I’ve been waiting for this report for about two months!

Then Andrew B. DeWar speaks with some of the vendors at Epic Con to learn more about their wares! He speaks with Curious Octopus (https://www.etsy.com/shop/CuriousOctopus) about their hand made clothing, as well as Twisted Wire art (http://www.twistedwire.us/) where we learn more about the inspiration behind the work.

We then speak with Jenny Janetty who is an up and coming scream queen type actress who is also a professional model who just also happens to be a wrestler! We learn how she fell into acting and talk about other nerdy stuff!

And lastly, we do some cross promoting with Zombie TakeOver T. V. (http://ztotv.com/) our booth neighbors at Epic Con! We talk to each other about how we all got started doing what we do!

We have more interviews to bring you, so don’t go away!
