Today (or tonight depending on when you’re listening) on the podcast we have James Pitt of Dayton Artist Movement Productions in for our very first geekout episode since being R3C0NF1GUR3D!

We ask him”The Question”, ask him a little about himself, and then begin talking about and geeking out on science fiction, and ever so lightly brush on the idea of conspiracy theories!

Check out the Dayton Artist Movement Productions Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Dayton-Artist-Movement-Productions-500377143637457/ and give it a like! Let him know that you heard him on the podcast!

Greetings, Programs!

Over the weekend, the Mrs. and I went to see Ready Player One!

I am planning on doing a more in-depth review of it later on (after I re-read the book) but, I will give a brief review here…

It was OK.

It was maybe 4% of the book with about 2% of the pop culture references that are in the book, and they didn’t explain why the movie title was Ready Player One like they did in the book.

But, it was a fun adventure, and if you never read the book (for shame!) you will still be able to enjoy the film, maybe even more so than those of us who have read it.

Holy frak… I’m now in the same boat as the LOTR fans…

Anyway, enjoy this Side Quest podcast, and let us know what you thought of the movie!

Today we bring you our interview with THE MAN himself, Darryl Banks!

Our BossMonkey sits down with Darryl at the 2016 Gem City Comic Con to talk about how Mr. Banks got into drawing comic books, and some of the inspiration behind his most famous creation, the Green Lantern Kyle Rayner (Troy’s favorite Green Lantern)!

“At first, I was extremely nervous and shy!” Troy says about the interview. “But after we got started, and Darryl was telling me about how he fanboy’s out over meeting his favorite artists, it helped me realize that he was a fan just like me. Only he created Kyle Rayner.”

Check out a sample of Darryl’s work at http://comicartcommunity.com/gallery/categories.php?cat_id=181

We must also apologize about the audio quality of this episode. Shortly after the interview started recording, one of the mics on our Tascam went out. We hope that does not take anything away from the enjoyment of this awesome interview!

Listen below and ENJOY!
